<p>Haruki Murakami est le phénomène littéraire de ces dernières années. Ses livres sont publiés dans plus de quarante pays et suscitent l’engouement de millions de lecteurs. Les cinéastes ne restent pas non plus indifférents face au monde magique de l&#8217;auteur culte japonais. Le cinéaste franco-vietnamien Ang Hung Tran &#8211; connu pour <strong>L&#8217;Odeur de la papaye verte</strong> &#8211; vient d’adapter à l&#8217;écran le Norwegian Wood de Murakami, un classique contemporain mettant en scène des adolescents dans les années 1960. Prétexte parfait pour BOZAR de proposer la première bruxelloise de ce film, couplée d’un entretien avec quelques figures de premiers plans du monde cinématographique et littéraire. Ils se pencheront non seulement sur le mystère Murakami mais aborderont aussi plus profondément la relation entre littérature et film.</p>
<p>Entretien avec Saskia De Coster, Jean-François Pluijgers, Luk Van Haute, Alok Nandi et l&#8217;animateur Niels Ruëll</p>
<p>Saskia de Coster est connue du grand public pour sa participation à l&#8217;émission flamande De slimste mens, mais est avant tout l&#8217;un des plus importants jeunes écrivains flamands. Elle a écrit cinq romans surprenants dont Eeuwige roem et Dit is van mij. Actuellement, elle travaille à un film. Luk Van Haute n&#8217;est pas uniquement un japonisant mais traduit aussi en néerlandais des livres japonais. Il a ainsi traduit deux livres de Murakami et se rend régulièrement à Tokyo pour mieux connaître le monde japonais et l&#8217;homme qui se cache derrière l&#8217;écrivain. Jean-François Pluijgers est un cinéphile par excellence. Les lecteurs du Vif/L&#8217;Express le connaissent depuis longtemps pour ses critiques cinématographiques hebdomadaires.<br />
Alok Nandi est un auteur-réalisateur, actif dans la mise en oeuvre de dispositifs cross-media et interactifs. Il explore les modalités de narration entre divers médias, de la bande dessinée aux écrans, du verbe à l&#8217;espace, menant des projets entre arts &amp; sciences. Japan Foundation Fellow. Chroniqueur radio. Concepteur d&#8217;expositions.<br />
Niels Ruëll est un Bruxellois bilingue, chargé de la rubrique films dans De Standaard et Brussel Deze Week.</p>
<p>De film Norwegian Wood est base sur le livre éponyme de Haruki Murakami.<br />
Tokyo 1969. Toru Watanabe est un jeune étudiant, dévoué à son amie Naoko, étudiante brillante et réfléchie. La passion qu&#8217;ils partagent est née suite au décès tragique de leur ami commun quelques années plus tôt. La vie de Watanabe est dominée par la mort et Naoko sent qu&#8217;une partie d&#8217;elle-même a disparu. Le soir de l’anniversaire des 20 ans de Naoko, ils partagent finalement leur amour mais peu de temps après Watanabe rencontre Midori, jeune fille au caractère totalement différent, à la fois vivante et sûre d’elle. Watanabe est contraint de choisir entre les deux jeunes filles.</p>
